There may be miles between Meghan Markle and her children at the moment, but they are never far from her heart.
Case in point? On day three of her Colombian tour with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex slipped on a meaningful accessory that paid tribute to her two young kids, Archie and Lilibet. While visiting a local drum school that’s preserving the art of African drumming in Cartagena, Markle was spotted wearing a gold pendant necklace by Ariel Gordon Jewelry that’s engraved with Archie’s and Lilibet’s names. She paired the sentimental piece with more gold jewelry—including a collar necklace from Cartier, a pair of stud earrings, and her signature stack of bracelets.
She also wore a matching black patterned top and matching maxi skirt set by Colombian-born designer Johanna Ortiz. She carried a white woven shoulder bag and finished accessorizing with aviator sunglasses and a wide-brimmed sunhat. Her dark brunette hair was styled in loose waves and pulled back into a bouncy ponytail.
Markle’s necklace wasn’t the only style tribute she made during her trip to South America. She also wore a pair of gold butterfly-shaped earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, who once sported them on a royal tour of Canada in 1986 with a matching butterfly choker. Visiting a kindergarten class in Santa Fe, Markle teamed the earrings with a brown double-breasted blazer layered over a crisp white button-up shirt and paired with tailored black trousers.
