With the help of Pink, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow, Rob Halford, and Annie Lennox, Dolly Parton delivers a victorious performance of “Jolene.” #129

When Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, she delivered an amazing rendition of “Jolene.” She was joined on stage by a bunch of famous artists like Pink, Sheryl Crow, Rob Halford, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Brandi Carlile, and Simon Le Bon. It looked like the Queen of Country was really enjoying the moment, and the performance was filled with an exciting vibe.

Pink kicked off the song by singing the first line right after Dolly Parton sang the catchy opening hook and did a duet with her. You could totally see how excited Pink was to be performing with the legendary Dolly Parton. After that, Annie Lennox from Eurythmics took over for the next verse, and then all the famous singers joined in for the chorus. The list of big-name stars just kept coming, with Rob Halford, the metal legend, Pat Benatar, and Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran all stepping up to rap their parts.

More than a million viewers tuned in to watch the live performance of “Jolene” on YouTube, showing just how much people loved it. One commenter said that Dolly Parton “has music flowing through her soul.” It doesn’t matter who she collaborates with; her voice always blends perfectly. I really admire Dolly Parton’s positive energy and amazing talent. She is so creative, and her kindness shines through. Thank goodness for her!

During the 37th annual ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, on November 5, 2022, Pink had the honor of inducting Dolly Parton into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. That night, other famous artists like Judas Priest, Carly Simon, Jimmy Jam, Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, and Lionel Richie were also recognized. Dolly performed two songs, including “Rockin’ It,” with the help of the Zac Brown Band.

At first, Parton thought about not going to her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because she felt she didn’t really earn it. After thinking it over, the country singer decided to go through with the induction. During her acceptance speech, she confidently declared, “I’m a rock star now!” She also shared her doubts about receiving the honor, saying, “I’m sure many of you remember that when they announced I was going to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t believe I had done enough to deserve it.” She added that there was more to her feelings than she realized at the time. Being here tonight is a true honor, and I couldn’t be happier.
