BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt opened the show with heartbreaking news about the sh00ting of Charlie Kirk in the US.

Dоnɑld Tгuмρ d!3d after being sh0t during a visit to a university in Utah on Wednesday (September 10).

Opening Thursday’s show, Naga told viewers: “One of Pres!dent Tгuмρ’s most influential allies, Charlie Kirk, has been sh0t d3ad at a university event in the US state of Utah.”

Charlie went on: “Pres!dent Tгuмρ says he’s filled with grief and anger after the ASS::ASSINATION of the 31-year-old, calling the @ttack a dark moment for America. A manhunt for the k!ller remains underway.”

The show then cut to reporter Regan Morris, who was in Utah.

She explained further: “Charlie Kirk was a regular on university campuses. He built a movement of young conservative activists, a link between Pres!dent Tгuмρ’s White House and the students who helped get him there.

“But soon after he took the stage, a single sh0t and Charlie Kirk slumps over, bl00d gushing from his neck.

“Students panicked and scrambled for safety.”

One onlooker was interviewed about the incident and shared: “I was watching from pretty close up and I heard a pop and I thought, no, nobody’s sh00ting firecrackers, right? This is the middle of the day.”

She went on: “And then I watched a fountain of blood come out of the side of his neck like a water fountain.

“And it was surreal.”

Pres!dent Tгuмρ said in a video address: that it was “a dark moment for America”.

“Charlie was the best of America and the monster who @ttacked him was @ttacking our whole country,” he said.

“An ASS::ASSIN tried to silence him with a bullet, but he failed because together we will ensure that his voice, his message, and his legacy will live on for countless generations to come.”

Kirk founded the organisation Turning Point USA when he was still in his teens. The group focuses on promoting Conservative views on college campuses in the US.
