Alpha-hydroxy acid and benzoyl peroxide are the most widely used ones. The bacteria that reside in the oils on your skin are destroyed by benzoyl peroxide. This bacterium promotes the growth of acne. For a cream to be effective, it must include at least 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.
When using any acne product, use caution. Never use a harsh cloth; instead, use your hands or a soft cotton pad. If your acne is more severe, alpha-hydroxy acid can help.
The optimal concentration range for it is 5–8%. Compared to benzoyl peroxide, alpha-hydroxy is unquestionably a more effective acne-controlling solution. Naturally, due to its increased strength, it can also penetrate the skin more easily. Before using it, make sure you truly need it.
