Deep lesions or infections differ from exposed acne. Exposed acne is precisely what its name implies: it is visible on the skin. Most of us had this form of acne as teenagers, and we occasionally had to deal with it before going on a date. It typically includes pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads.
You may occasionally develop a cyst. Lighter acne problems can usually be treated with simple washing and scrubbing. If you have a severe case of acne, you may need to use more concentrated acne cleansers, and prescription acne drugs may be necessary.
